Have you try baking muffins or cakes but ended up having difficulty taking it out from the baking tin? In fact, this is pretty normal and most novice bakers will face this problem. I will be sharing with you the 2 step procedures of preparing cake baking tins to eliminate such problem. Furthermore, I hate to see you messing up your kitchen when trying to get the pastries out of the tin.

Firstly, you will need to grease the bottom of the tin with either margarine or vegetable oil. This is a pretty common step that most people will use to prevent the pastries for sticking onto the bottom of the tin. Because if this happens, not only will you have difficulty getting the pastries out, you will also get an incomplete pastries since the bottom portion of it would be stuck on the tin. However, try not to apply excessive margarine if you do not want to see an oily muffin or cake.

Now that we have greased the bottom of the tin, we need to take care of the sides. Usually in my case, I will sprinkle flour on the sides of it. This will cause the walls of the tin to be smooth and it will be easier to take the muffins out from it. Be very careful not to have too much flour because it will affect the taste of the muffins if this happens. But what if you are making chocolate muffins? If this is the case, replace the flour with cocoa powder so that the muffins do not have white coatings on it.

If you follow this 2 step procedure when preparing the baking tin, you will not have much problem getting the cakes out of it. Baking tins are supposed to aid us in coming out with a nice and beautiful shape pastry so do not change it purposes. So remember to grease the bottom of your tin and sprinkle some flour on the sides of it. Start baking a few muffins for your friends and family now. However, if you intend to use them as gifts, I recommend you placing them into cupcake boxes for a better presentation.
